It's up to the mail carrier to decide whether our mail gets delivered.
There are three scenarios:
Mailboxes are fine - All mail gets delivered
Some panels are damaged - Mail does not get delivered to mailboxes
within damaged panels
All panels are damaged - All mail is not delivered
If mail does not get delivered for some or all mailboxes, then delivery
will be reattempted the next day. If you are urgently expecting mail,
then call the Pryor St. post office for information at (800) 275-8777.
Our mailboxes were previously damaged, which delayed delivery of mail.
They were bent back into shape and mail delivery resumed yesterday.
I'm not sure of the current state of the mailboxes due to today's theft,
but it sounds like at least one panel could be damaged.
Thanks,
Alex

I walked through the neighborhood at 2pm today and saw lots of packages still
at doorsteps. We believe the thieves were only targeting the mailboxes.

Hi. I was supposed to have a package delivered today at 12:30. Ups says it
was left at my door. Could someone verify for me it is still there? Unit
303. This seems like around the time those guys were spotted inside the gate!

Hi Neighbors,
It's been reported that the mailbox culprits may have been seen. The
pictures were taken at 1:09pm and 1:10pm today.
Descriptions:
Two white males.
One had on a black hat, black pants, white tee shirt, red high top
sneakers, and a cross body bag.
The other, that you can see better in the picture was a thicker build,
oversized grey tee shirt, bald or low cut hair(maybe balding) and a five
o'clock shadow beard.
Facts:
Black hat appeared to be struggling to get mail out of one resident mail
box in one panel, the one closer to the display box that was damaged
earlier this week. After the struggle it's unclear if he got anything. He
then went to another panel and attempted to open another mailbox or
possibly the entire panel as a second panel is now damaged. It appeared as
if he gave up. Shadow beard was standing by randomly looking in other
opened mail boxes.
It's unclear if they live here or not as the car was parked at the
dumpster, more likely so they could exit swiftly. See the pictures below.
This is being sent for awareness. If anyone sees something suspious that's
remotely related to these two individuals please email the board email
copied here as it can be added to the existing incident report that has
been filed with the police.
The Board is looking into other mail box options as previously stated
yesterday. The gate code has also been changed. It will not be distributed
to this list for safety purposes so please do not share it on this list.
People may also buzz you at the gate to let them in however, please do not
buzz anyone in just to be nice as, just like the mailbox culprits, they may
get in the gate through your buzz when they're in a car.
