Category: Change Request / Operations / Booking

Originator: Middelkamp, Lisa

Priority: Low

Issue
1- When booking in client, you have to assign a room and a bed before it will
let you save changes, but the field doesn't indicate that its mandatory.
2- It also doesn't let you go back into the window to reassign after you have
exited it.
3- If you go to Book In window and then press the Assign Beds before putting in
the shelter, reason for service and referred from, when you go back to the Book
In window these three fields are greyed out.
If you put in the shelter before you go to the Assign Beds window, only the
shelter field is greyed out.
4- If you change the shelter you are booking into and then make another change
(i.e. add another person in the family to the book in) the shelter changes back
to what it was originally

Solution:
1- You are referring to graphical only, right?
2- Guilty. Until you save, your data does not know what beds have already been
assigned in this session. The graphical bed assignement screen relies on saved
data to populate the beds. Allowing you to go back a second time means we have
to redesign the bed assignement screen to read saved data and compare to a
transient assigment state. If it sounds like a bunch of excuses, it is. It was
not designed for second pass and the effort to change it right now is
prohibitive.
