Subject: Saw bear
Hi Roy,
As I was leaving the Hill last night, driving down Harris Hill Road, a
medium-sized bear crossed the road right in front of my car. I mean, I
had to slow down so as not to hit it. Its fur was black. Are bears
known to be on Harris Hill?
The exact location was this: the road turns right at the beginning of
Lew Storch Road, then proceeds for perhaps 300 yards, then it turns left
and goes all the way down to Route 352. Just after that left bend in the
road, the bear came out of the woods on my left and crossed the road,
heading west.
