Hi Gang,Tonight, I stepped outside the barn to look at the position of the Moxon. I have been pointing it to the North/Northeast at night in Hopes of being heard across to Europe. I been QRO to 50-60 watts, We had some Big T-storms, Lots of wind, So I wanted to be sure the beam was pointing where I aimed it. Right Behind it, I see the Moon! It's on the backside, But I was thinking: With its current path, Is it possible that if the Moxon was pointed correctly at the Moon's path- Would there be a Point where the Signal from my antenna would hit and relect back to earth? -I am not a EME guy- although I think its amazing that its done- Just wondered if there is a point where the Angle would be such that Just sitting in its path would be enough to create a reflection back to earth at some point? It would seem to me that If the path of the Moon hits a certain Angle in its Arc, It could happen. I guess the Big question would be -HOW WOULD YA KNOW? would I have to transmit split? Would a Echo occur? Or is ET hearing my Beacon someplace else? (HIHI)
I could be WAY off base on this, And I apologize if so. Thanks for entertaining this question one way or another anyway!
