Howie,

I'll bet the radio had been sitting around too long, and the capacitor
simply discharged. Now that you've powered it up, betcha things will go
swimmingly.

If you find any more for $5, let me in on the deal <grin>.

Subject: [HFbeacons] Re: HTX-100 Problem

The radio now seems to be working and I did not do anything. Shut if off
last night with the blinking display. This morning turned on the PS and
radio and it works as it should including all the buttons. I hate when
things happen like this not knowing what the cause was.

Maybe this could be a come and go problem as to why it was sitting in a junk
box.
The lady selling it did not know anything about it and thought it was a "CB"
Radio does not seem to be modified in anyway. It looks like it had a rough
life as the case is badly scratched, but the face plate and display look ok.

Time will tell....if it does not act up during the next few days will switch
it out and run it for the beacon for a while... Thanks for all the replies &

Howie AC4DJ
