Well, I checked the WSPR Reporter. Nothing out of South America, but some West
Coast to FL reports around 1700Z. Reports on the FT8 reflector reported an
afternoon opening on 10 between grid EM12In TX to ZL, times were 2000Z to 2230Z.
No other DX on the reporters or Facebook discussions that I saw. The only thing
I saw this weekend on 10 was groundwave out to 120 miles on FT8. Not even any
AM intruders. Trying to repair an Alinco DX-70T to put on to monitor 10 while
operating down on 17 or 20 meters. I have a couple of intermittent relays, lots
of fun...

Re: At 5:15 PM Local "The same old thing"
Dan:
I had some scattered Eskip on 6. YV5B might be Eskip. With the other Carribean
beacons QRT, it's hard to verify the path down that way.
Not at the rig, but there might be some WSPR or FT8 activity to the south. Wish
I could check...

I can add a very strong YV5B 2131 Miles, at
6:30 PM Local. T.E. Grayline I expect. Dan

The
same old thing. If the AK2F/WN2A call sign didn't change the report would be
the same! About all I'm doing now is confirming that these beacons are
still operational.
At
5:15 PM Local time the following Ten Meter Beacons are being
received:
4U1UN 74.7
Miles
WN2A 49.7
Mile
KA3JOE 23.8
Mile
KJ3P 9.6
Miles
K3XR 41.0
Miles
Note: If you are finding that 4U1UN has been missing from you
log, tune down 100 Hz, they seemed to have moved sometime in the last few
weeks. The current frequency puts them where I hear YV5B, when that path is
open.
