I have just tried a quick conversion of Christine's completed 1957
spreadsheet to a database.
I am very pleased to be able to say it works. I will now try adding the data
from Patsy's completed work too.
We should just be able to add each spreadsheet as it becomes available so
keep your fingers crossed.
The program runs on RISCOS - that's the old Acorn machines but there is a
Windows reader available which I need to check will run on Windows 10. Once
I've checked that I'll let you all have a copy of the reader software and
the trial database to play around with. (The program is IOTA Datapower sold
by R-Comp if anybody wants to take a look - the Windows reader is freely
downloadable from
http://www.iota.co.uk/datapower/index62f6.html?page=reader/default.)
Please note this is not the final version as I envisage that being
implemented by other on a standard museum data platform but this will allow
us to make use of the data easily as it becomes available.
