Things have moved on a lot since I last told you of progress.
We had a steering committee meeting today and it was very positive. All
the other people who have shown an interest in getting involved are now
being written to and asked to get in touch if they would like to help with
the inventory.
Because of that I’d like to give you all the chance of coming to the
initial inventory meeting on 10th June in the Herald offices at 11am.
Initially, because of the storage situation in the dusty, hot and cramped
cellar, we were restricted in how many people could actually attend.
However our last meeting, all the bound volumes have been moved up two
floors in the Herald offices to now sit in lovely bright, cool and clean
offices on the first floor.
The volumes are stacked in decades which will make the inventory compiling
much easier.
Hopefully you can join us that day and, for many of you, it will be the
first chance to see the overall size of the project that we are embarking
on.
If you can join in please let me know (I already that Peter and Karen will
be present) and perhaps we can all go for coffee in Elphicks after the
meeting!
