Rome Y Gym and Swim is open to all homeschoolers. Classes are held at Rome
YMCA, 301 Bloomfield Street, Rome, from September 27 - November 8 (Thursdays);
2:00P.M.-4:00P.M.; $18.00 + $5.00 (once a year fee to the Y) per child. Call
Shannon Hampshire to let her know you will be attending or for more
info(942-6115) ; or contact Denise Arena (336-1557).
Note:
1) On Sept. 27 please come early to register so that minimal time is lost for
the first day of class.
2) There are a wide variety of swim levels for all age groups.
3) Swim class is available to 5 year olds and up. Five year olds MUST be
accompanied by a parent or relative. We encourage all parents, however, to
help in the pool for the younger group even if they don't swim themselves--yes,
even if your children are in the older class (around 10 and older) while they
are in the gym--we could use extra hands in the pool. As parents we share in
the responsibility of keeping this program working to the best advantage of our
children.
