人生第一次意识到「自己做为一个人会死掉」，大概是在幼儿园到小学的这个过程中。把孩子吓哭了。晚上躺在床上的时候，会想象着死后是否是变成一具骷髅在地底下。后来不知道为什么就忘记了这回事。第二次想起来已经是初中-高中的过程，知道了儿时的幼稚：现在都是火化了，埋地下也是非常奢侈的，骨灰大概是不能够感受到周围的蚊虫叮咬的。后来也不知道为什么就不去想了。再后来，看《三体》，那种「意识到自己生命相对于文明的短暂、文明相对于时间的短暂」的冲击，就像心脏被人紧紧捏住，憋了一两个月才缓过劲儿来。
从《三体》走出来之后，我开始对于不同时代和不同地域、阶级、文化的人类的日常生活产生了兴趣。虽然时光短暂，但是却有可能瞥见众多的人生，就像是自己活了几十辈子一样
:P
这本《中世纪人》，让我能够一瞥所谓的「黑暗的中世纪」的欧洲人是如何养家糊口、婚丧嫁娶的。六个人，六个人生。诚然，即使作者尽自己的努力还原了几个人的一生，其中也必然有大量的推测和猜想的成分。而这些部分也是我同样喜欢的：就像是旁观作者在完成拼图的游戏，自己有时候附和、有时反对、有时暗呼巧妙。
看的越多，心态就越平和，越不容易被周围房价、暴富、鸡娃等影响。
