there have been posted less than a few e-mails here, recently. So I thought I
could forward an e-mail Mark Tapio Kines seems to send to everyone who bought
the ForCor-DVD. That means, maybe most of you already know about his new movie
which stars Melanie Lynskey, Sheeri Rappaport and Mary Lynn Rajskub. Anyway,
here it comes:

Hi all -
I know some of you hate getting these group emails, but many of you
have been asking me for one (fools!), so I will take my lumps and
promise a personal reply to those who write back.
Anyway, first off I don't know how this rumor got started that I moved to
New Zealand. But I did spend 2 weeks there in March, and
subsequently employed five of NZ's finest citizens to work on my second
feature film "Claustrophobia," which we shot in Los Angeles last June.
*** ABOUT THE NEW MOVIE ***
"Claustrophobia" is a suspense picture about three women in a house
with a guy outside who's trying to kill them. Deep stuff, right? Actually, as
we are halfway through editing it, it's turning out to be a very unusual
and entertaining project that I may even dub "The cutest horror film
you've ever seen." It stars Melanie Lynskey, Sheeri Rappaport and Mary
Lynn Rajskub.
Many of you will remember Ms. Lynskey from my first film "Foreign
Correspondents." She also starred in "Heavenly Creatures," "Ever After,"
"Rose Red" and many more. Ms. Rappaport starred in the cult film "Little
Witches" and has been a featured guest star on a large number of TV
series, namely "NYPD Blue," "CSI," "7th Heaven," even "Xena." Ms.
Rajskub (pronounced "Rice-cub," you Philistines) was a regular on the
TV series "Mr. Show," "The Larry Sanders Show" and "Veronica's
Closet," and appeared in films like "Road Trip" and "The Anniversary
Party."
By the way, right now in theatres you can enjoy the work of both Melanie
and Mary Lynn. Mel is in "Abandon," Mary Lynn is in "Punch-Drunk Love,"
and both are in "Sweet Home Alabama." And find Sheeri on your TV, too
- shows featuring her seem to be on all the time somewhere. Support
these talented actors!

On Saturday, November 9, in the Los Angeles area, I need to record
some voiceovers for "Claustrophobia." If you live locally and would like
to donate your talents, please contact me. I am looking for people who
aren't shy around microphones, who can deliver lines realistically, and
who are NOT part of any actors union. (Sorry, can't afford to pay.)
*** ABOUT EVERYTHING ELSE ***
Some of you have been asking about my other project "Sharky Baby." It
remains on hold until a big pile of money lands in my lap. Until then I
will concentrate on finishing and marketing "Claustrophobia" early next
year. The site for "Sharky Baby" is essentially dead.
Meanwhile, all is well. I am still happily self-employed and I just got
back last week from 2 1/2 months of traveling abroad. I hope things are
going well for all of you, and I thank you for your time and attention!
