At around noon today my friend George and I were birding around Reusen’s dam in
Lynchburg looking for ducks. It was a great day for waterfowl, here are some of
the highlights…
Tundra Swan 1
Northern Pintail 1
American Black Duck 20
Gadwall 33
Wood Duck 1
Bufflehead 4
Ruddy Duck 2
Pied-billed Grebe 7
Horned Grebe 1
Bald Eagle 2
The eagles were diving at the ducks and flushing them into the air only to
chase them. I attached the checklist below with pictures of the swan and
pintail.
