I favor us doing something to support the radio tower. Could that come under a
collaborative grant?

Hi there, a couple o items that have arisen since our board meeting:
1) the new Collaborative Grant cycle - applications are due November 19th.
If anyone has a project they would like to put forward, let us know --
although we've done a good job spending our grant funding, at the moment, I
don't have any ideas for a project that would require additional funding.
Boardwalks at our various wetlands would be nice, but unfortunately, most
grants don't cover those, and they're usually much more expensive than any
grant money would provide.
2) Curits will be contacting us about installing a radio tower in our area
which would track all birds that have chips. There's currently one on the
coast, and if we were to have one in the mountains, it would help provide
complete state coverage. As a board, we have to decide if we want to partner
on this, either monetarily ($7000 or so is cost) or just with outreach.
Please let me know your thoughts. I think it would be a good idea to have
some idea of our position before Curtis talks to us.
Thanks!
Debbie.
