I wrote down "June 7" next to "Annual Meeting". But I don't remember whether we set the annual meeting for June 7 or that was something else.

Hi everyone,

Here's what I remember from tonight's meeting (in no particular order), if yall recall something I missed please add it!

- There is leftover funds to go towards wetland restoration. VCCP will hopefully be building new wetlands as part of their stormwater mitigation efforts. We will know more as soon as the initial report is given to the Park. We also want to repair the bridge at the Foscoe Wetlands and maybe build a boardwalk, but permits might make that more trouble than it's worth.

- I will send out a blast email to all of the emails I have from membership forms to make sure they are on the listserve if they want to be. We are going to update the list of efforts the HCAS has undertaken on our 'join us' page, and then I will email the listserve to encourage anyone who gets our emails but is not a member to join.

- The board is ok with people announcing birding events and tours being offered via an email to the listserve. We will update the listserve automatic reply when someone joins to tell them vaguely that if they want to announce an upcoming trip they should limit the number of emails they send.

- We voted to get an intern. The intern will go to festivals and do other inter stuff.

- We are continuing having a monthly bird walk at the Greenway on the 3rd Tuesday of the month instead of a regular monthly meeting.

- We are looking into reserving the shelter at the Greenway for our yearly party in July. IF we can't reserve the shelter someone will stake out the shelter early that day and chase off any rival picnickers.

- We are going to choose a Wednesday sometime soon to plant the tree and put up the sign on Beech Mtn. This way folks can go to Beech Mtn straight from the VCCP bird walk and avoid bridge construction.  Let me know as soon as we know the date and I'll make sure Lauren picks a spot for the tree.

- Bradford Pears are terrible. My phone died for a few minutes and I missed part of this discussion. We are going to email the listserve about bounty programs to remove them.

- I will email Guy details of the upcoming Bio Blitz at VCCP (it's April 30)

- Debbie has served three terms as president. If she wants to do a full FDR we will need to find out how to change the bylaws.

- Upcoming work day at the BRC pollinator garden on April 10, we will see where it goes from there...

- We will eventually plant some more trees at Brookshire, just waiting on the town to figure out which trees to plant. The signs about the trees will also have to wait until the trees are figured out.

- We have climate education money to spend. There might be an option to put signs about wetlands and flood control at VCCP and we can use it to buy stuff for our intern to do displays at festivals.

At this point I would like to motion that we make sure we have a secretary for all future meetings.

Happy Birding!
-Paul
