Mark,

Hasselblad H-series have now been on the market for many years. It is serving
a tiny segment of the market; pro photographers with certain demands for large
digital files. There can be no doubt that Hasselblad is struggling to stay
alive in this tiny part of the market place.

Now Leica has announced their presence in this segment too. They were supposed
to be launching their promissing S2 four months ago. First now, we will see
'real' S2's on the shelves. Although, the Norwegian importer can promise
anyone before 'in February'.

I doubt that there is room for two in this tiny segment of the market.
Particularly now that the credit crisis is upon us. The launch, regardless of
how good it is, could spell the death of both Hasselblad and Leica.

Tom of Oslo (colder and colder....)
