Mark,

That is certainly a rare case of using digital images and converting them back to film. Some 30 years ago I was involved with the production of a motion picture that was recorded using high grade video. The film contained a large amount of special effects that were easier to do with video. The final cut was turned into a negative on film that was used to make the copies that went the movie theatres.
Great stuff to be involved with.

Richard

data backed up in triplicate. I believe he was
running a RAID 5 with
terabytes of storage..

I know someone who does color separations for fabric,
and his workflow was entirely analog (process camera
with filters), then went entirely digital, and now
archives the final digital files - on film, although
the front end workflow is all digital. How many bits
on a sheet of 8x10 film?
