Like many of the others suggested something is broken or having a bad contact. last try, if you have a second 2000 (maybe also works with 200 body) replace the battery chamber with another one and see if the camera works. Check the contacts of the battery chamber and connectings into camera, if not this does it send it to repair or check out for a secondhandbody. These can be had cheap nowadays. I have gone through them and there has been no difference. I am pretty sure it's not getting power from the battery. I tried another 28L lithium, the one I had in the PME finder, but it was the same story. Could an alkaline battery possibly make a difference? This failure had some warnings over the last several weeks when the shutter wouldn't fire for one or two times, then it would return to working normally. Then last week it stopped firing completely and hasn't since. Robert On Apr 7, 2010, at 9:42 AM, ronald.arvidsson@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx wrote: > Check that the shutter is not set in C-mode.
