Ladies and Gentlemen:

The National Weather Service will be offering Basic and Advanced SKYWARN training at the Hardee County EOC on Monday January 14, 2008 at 6:00PM til 8:00PM.  I would like to encourage all Hardee County ARES personnel to take this SKYWARN training if you have not had SKYWARN training before or if you are due for recertification, which is once every three years  Anyone is welcome to attend this SKYWARN training session whether they are a licensed amateur radio operator or not.   Until I am given other information, if you are planning on attending please let me know via email at kt4w@xxxxxxxx so I can let Rich Shepard, Emergency Managment Director for Hardee County, now how many people to be prepared for as well.  When I find out more information on how to register, I will pass them on to you via this list.

I will have this announcement in the next issue of the HARG PIONEER which will be out in early January.  For those that may be traveling from outside of Hardee County, I will include travel directions as well.

I want to wish all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving and we certainly do have much to be thankful for
