Hello Hardware Lovers,
We have published another article in our board-design section - Simplify the

One of my first boards was centered on an 8031 processor. It had an EPROM,
RAM and naturally, a serial port for PC connectivity. It was beautiful time
when companies like MAXIM came out with a miraculous RS232 device that
needed only +5V power supply.
One year ago I was facing the same dilemma, how to connect a digital board
to a PC without making it a two men month project?
