[haikuware-tya] TYA notifications

Hi folks,

I've written three notification mails we can use in the future. Improvements are appreciated. The nomination-email should be sent out before announcing the nominees, so anyone uncomfortable can back out.

One more thing: The questions in the mini-interview should be shortened for the publication; they are only this long to help the interviewee.
So, for publication it's just:

Q1: How old are you and what do you do to pay the bills?

Q2: In your nomination, it says: "$---NOMINATION-TEXT---."
How difficult (or easy) was it to accomplish these tasks?

Q3: What would you love to have that would make working on Haiku easier?

Q4: What interesting book, band, TV show etc. would you like to recommend?

Thanks!
Humdinger

Subject: You're a Thank You Award nominee!
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Greetings, nominee!

Congratulations, you were chosen as a candidate for a Thank You Award (see http://www.haikuware.com)!

Every other month, the Haiku community nominates people whose contributions to Haiku within the last two months caught its collective eye. So, being nominated is in itself a sign of appreciation. Nevertheless, during the coming week everyone can vote for the candidate, they consider most deserving of the grand prize, the Thank You Award including a nice Haiku t-shirt.

If you don't want to participate in these proceedings, please say so and we'll remove your name from the ballot before any announcement.

Thanks very much.
Your Thank You Award Team

Hello $NAME!

Congratulations, you've won a Thank You Award!
Please give us your shipping address for your Haiku t-shirt and we'll mail it
directly to you.

To give you the opportunity of a kind of acceptance speech and to let the Haiku community learn a bit more about you and your work, we've created a little questionnaire that we send out to every Thank You Award winner. We'd appreciate if you could take the time to give detailed and interesting answers. The interview will be posted at http://www.haikuware.com.

Q1: How old are you and what do you do to pay the bills?

Q2: In your nomination, it says: "$---NOMINATION-TEXT---."
How difficult (or easy) was it to accomplish these tasks? Have you done other things these past two months that we missed and that you'd consider even more interesting or successful?

Q3: What would you love to have that would make working on Haiku easier?

Q4: What interesting book, band, podcast, website, magazine, movie, TV show etc. would you like to recommend?
You can pick more than one item. Tell us why you picked it in one or two
sentences.

Thank you very much for your time to do this interview and even more so for your work on Haiku! By the way, a person can only win one Thank You Award, so don't wonder why you just won't be nominated again for your excellent work in the future. :)

Kind regards,
Your Thank You Award Team

Subject: Sorry, no Thank You Award this time
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello there!

Sorry, you didn't win the Thank You Award this time. Rest assured that the Haiku community appreciates your commitment all the same.
Maybe you'll have another chance at a future Thank You Award. Just keep on
hacking. :)

Kind regards,
Your Thank You Award Team

Regards,
Humdinger
