It will require a more recent hrev, as we switched the HaikuPorts
buildmaster over recently.

Right, but that will also set the minimum Haiku version to that hrev,
right? So in essence there is some sort of protection to installing
the package on a system that is too out of date.


Yes, it does, the package requires are updated automatically by HaikuPorter.
