[haiku] request for testing patch in a 64bit environment

I made a small patch for automatically detecting the need to enable
the use_32bit flag on 64bit environments.
The patch is attached to ticket : http://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/3391
I would appreciate if someone could apply this patch and run
configure without "--use-32bit".
Feel free to respond off list if you prefer.
