[haiku] keyboard extras

This may be a bit OT, but I'll take the risk of asking my question...
I just acquired a USB keyboard. [Dunno if it's just a Berkeley custom
of leaving unwanted stuff on the kerb for anyone who wants to grab,
but I just picked up that plus a working spare 14" flat-screen...]
Anyhow, the (Microsoft) K/B has a wide variety of buttons and keys
that are not recognized by Haiku -- even the function keys need a
"Function Lock". Can anyone tell me what these keys send, and is
there any way to detect them from Haiku? (It would be fun to have
them actually do things.)
