Is there any way to adjust the level the startup sound plays at?
I have one that I quite like, but if I happen to have my external
audio already plugged in it blasts my ears! I move the relevant
slider in Media Prefs, but next time I reboot it's back up to full
volume again!
Did it ever worked that way? Generally parameters aren't saved AFAIK.
Well, something is saved somewhere! [Damned if I can figure out
where, though.] I run Csound (which is command-line only, so no
settings fileof its own) and a slider pops up in Media. When I
adjust that slider, then quit Csound -- so the slider goes away --
and restart it, the slider comes back at the level to which I
readjusted it. This is true even if I reboot in between.
Doesn't happen if I readjust the Startup slider.
