I'd also think the source code of BeOS would complicate things rather 
than help.
What would be a worthy goal to free is the BeBook. At the moment we are 
free to host the original, but not allowed to change anything. Having 
the BeBook totally open would be a great starting point for adding 
Haiku specific changes and additions to the API.
