Michael Phipps suggested the same to me at the end of my last semester. I've taken 2 college level C++ courses and am now writing the coursewares for C# to be taught next year - but still am very vague about coding GUI apps in C++. i have a lot to learn. perhaps learning from others on the Pref Team is best - i'd still like to document the progress and piece together this tutorial as well. i'll dive into that forum this week! thanks Phil -jared > What kind of BeOS programming are you interesting in ? > > If it's GUI apps and getting the basics, you should come to the Pref > Team. > > http://obos.gravity24hr.com/ > http://gravity24hr.com/forums/index.php?c=3 > > There is also an IRC channel called #prefchat (on the same server as > #openbeos) - where I've run online programming tutorials with new > coders on > the team. > > That, coupled with a few key mailing lists and just studying the > BeBook are > usually enough :) > > Cheers > > Sikosis > OBOS Pref Team Leader > http://g24.com.au/cvsmon/ > > > > > > > Quoting Jared Eldredge <jared@xxxxxx>: > > > > > > > > > Good or Bad idea to send emails to university computer science > > departments > > > > > > > asking if they could contribute to the kernel ?
