I see it was you who started the discussion on the forum last year.
That sort of whirred off in different directions and just faded out.
I was one of several who put up some candidates, but I don't think
anyone got any feedback.
[I like one of mine enough to have started using it.  (:-))]

One of the problems, I think, is that a lot of installations just
won't play a startup sound.  So it would be frustrating for some
to include one in the distribution.


I for one would like to see something tasteful added to R1 even if not
everybody hears it
