Our package installer is far from perfect, and there may be something
about this package that it cannot handle. I know for one thing that
shell scripts are not processed, though that does not sound like the
problem here.
Please file a bug at http://dev.haiku-os.org with as much info as you
can, including a link to the problematic package file.
