Hi,
It is still time to apply. You should create an account at the Google Summer of
Code website and start working on a proposal to upload there (you can work in a
draft on Google Docs, on which our mentors can comment to help you complete it).
The proposal should follow the format outlined in our "informations for
students" page:

You also need to submit a patch to Haiku, showing that you have good
understanding of git, writing some C++ code and following our coding guidelines
and review process.
You should also join the haiku-development mailing list and maybe the IRC
channel, where you can discuss the project ideas with mentors and other
developers, and also start to dig into the code (ask on the IRC channel if you
need some pointers to the relevant parts of our sources).

I really liked the projects:
1. USB stack improvements (USB3, isochronous transfers)
I am genuinely interested in kernel development and have a little experience
in this area. I have
developed a mini filter driver for windows. Instead of submitting any mini
task at random to haiku.
I wished to submit mini task that is relevant to the project.
2. ARM port / device tree support
I have recently completed an course in architecture here during my course
work and I love working
in this area. I am some what comfortable with arm assembly.
3. Bluetooth Stack Improvements
I like working with networks. I did not place this project in the first place
only because it is
not related to the area that I am researching currently. It would be a good
way to be working in
the area I like.

long time but my dad passed away last month. Therefore during the peak time I
could not work. Even
though the deadline is only 4 days away I will show that I can work hard and
complete the tasks and
