To All Coders,

Congratulations on your work so far. I am writing this eMail using the
        OpenBeos StyleEdit.

I downloaded the build farm's binaries last night and have been playing
with them and I am impressed.

I installed the PDFWriter Printer and the used the OBOS Printers
Preference Panel to add a printer. I have successfully printed a few
text documents; although it died on when printing the Personal Edition
        Start Page.

I will be using a second install to test OBOS. I would like to know
which OBOS components are ready for user testing. Specifically as
replacements of the Be Supplied ones.
I would also like to know which ones are from external sources and
        essentially unchanged.

As well I would like to request that all components provide a version
marker (and an B_ABOUT_REQUESTED handler if possible) so I can be sure
        what I am testing.
For example an attribute OSBOS:MARKER of the form "[OpenBeos - Author]
Name - Qualifier (VersionNumber - BuildDate)"

        Some applications are "better".
                * Media Preflet successfully accepts None Out for my system.
                * ShowImage is more capable and I like the slide show feature.
                  But is it bloat ?

I encountered a few problems so far.
                * FileType Preflet closes without doing anything.
                * DriveSetup Preflet starts with a window too small and with the
                  title bar off screen (800x600).
                * Network Preflet opens its window and the dies of a segment
violation. Probabley cause of the BeOS networking I'm running.
                * StyleEdit complains of an "Unknown Error" when saving to a
drive that does not support attributes, but saves the text.
