TOPICS & SUMMARIES

# "Haiku Rocks" video

- There was discussion on the "Haiku Rocks" video being produced for WalterCon, including what applications to show in it.

# Network stack status and future development

- Since Andrew Galante's internship has finished, a consensus was reached that the network stack will be finished "in house," mainly by Axel and with some help from Oliver. Andrew will be asked to commit his code, and work will proceed from there.

# Priorities towards first alpha release

The following milestones were identified as top priorites towards a first alpha release of Haiku:

- Network stack
- Improved heap allocator
- Proper VM page scanner
- Finalizing the USB stack design and filling in the missing parts in the host controller drivers
- Bug hunting/squashing for stability purposes

# Hardware for testing

- It was proposed that hardware be purchased for testing purposes, mainly to make sure that Haiku works on dual and quad core systems, and to ensure support for Intel Extreme graphics. A consensus was reached that this is necessary, but no decision has been made yet.

# Projector purchase

- It was proposed that Haiku purchase a PC projector to use at WalterCon and other events. This proposal was driven by two reasons: to avoid the high rental costs associated with this type of equipment which is necessary at WalterCon, and because in the near future we are expected to attend/participate at more conferences and/or tech talks where this kind of equipment will either be necessary or it can come in handy. This purchase has been approved.

# Haiku Tech Talk at Google

- The possibility of giving a Haiku tech talk at Google will be explored.
