PROPOSAL:

$5 for every patch reviewed + committed.
It's not much, but it can help pay for pizza, beer, cigarettes, cell phone.
Obviously, the committer has the option to not accept the money if they wish.

This should hopefully start a feedback loop of
   submitting patches
   review& apply patches
   suggest contributor for commit access

Any thoughts, at all?
Considering how messy it is tosend money for big cntracts, I'm not sure sending $5 for each patch looks like a good idea. Of course, there should be solutions for that like asking to commit at least 10 patches before sending the money... Not too sure about it. Also there are small and bigger patches, something there are just some style fixes to do, and sometimes commiting a patch needs either rewriting it all, or asking the original patch maker to do so, which takes even longer to get everything right, is supposed to be better for this original patch-maker as he should learn the Way to Code. But in the end, after 2 or 3 runs of fix/review, people tend to get tired and forget about ever becoming a contributor. They try to help and all they get is comments pointing out how their work is wrong. This is not really more rewarding than waiting for a year with no move at all...
