I have not had much time to play with it recently, but I have an

I have been very impressed with it.
Great! That's the common reaction by people with taste and technical acumen.
:)
I can't find it online any more, but about 19 years ago, I gave BeOS 5
a rave review in Personal Computer World.
(The *only* thing I really wanted/needed back then -- and never got --
was DOSemu, or some other way to run an MS-DOS VM. If I had got that,
I'd have switched.)
Correct, in so far as there's a current hiccup preventing the "Haiku"
repo from being updated, see https://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/13937
Aha! TFTI!
This is however the wrong mailing list for that kind of question. You
should've used the "General" Haiku mailing list.
Oh, I'm sorry -- I missed that, and indeed missed it _again_ when
looking at the mailing-lists page this time. I suggest making it a
little more prominent!
Or, often quicker,
the forums at https://discuss.haiku-os.org/
I generally avoid fora, if I can.
No biggie, welcome to Haiku!
Thank you! :-)
