This is a direct result of the service provider.  dev.haiku-os.org is
on a different provider.

Search BeZillaMailNews in the bugtraker, i posted links to all of my
gcc2 builds of "software based on Mozilla's source code".   Those
binaries are true Haiku binaries.
Thanks, I'll check that out. 2.0.0.17 from BeBits works ok although it does bitch about not being able to find security components at startup, and installation was utterly non-intuitive.
