Last night I got a kernel panic when I tried to do a full build of Haiku's SVN on a nightly build. I filed it in Trac, Ticket #7998. I had to make a screenshot of the crash dump though. This means that the dump isn't searchable with grep, or conveniently openable in a programmer's text editor, viewed in Terminal with less and so on. Is there a way to save Kernel Debugging Land's crash dumps in a text file from VirtualBox? While VirtualBox does have Clipboard integration, that won't work when in the debugger. It's not safe to write a file to a filesystem mounted within Haiku. Two alternatives would be to send it over the network or to spit it out the emulated VirtualBox serial port, which is then saved into a text file. If either of these would work, could someone tell me how to do it?
