Good morning!

I think we've just about hammered out the final "big-picture" planning for R1!

At this time, we're planning on branching R1 (for R1B1) on January 31st, 2017. This will give the Google Code In time to complete before hand. This also gives everyone a final stretch to "get your feature code in ASAP"

When the branch occurs, no new features will be accepted into the R1 release branch.

We currently plan on the R1 branch running through R1B1,R1B2+ and release candidates.

Current plans for R1 include a x86 installation image as well as an x86_64 installation image.

R1:
   x86      gcc2h,   gcc2 primary, gcc5 secondary
   x86_64   gcc5 primary.

These are rough plans that are being filled in as we go. The time lines will fill in during the coming days, weeks.

gcc2h build infrastructure is being deployed and x86_64 build infrastructure is being built.

Onward to R1!!!
