thanks for your interest in Haiku! In addition to what waddlesplash said, just pick the idea(s) that you are most intersted in, or come up with your own idea, you don't have to stick to the list. Don't pay any regard to whether an idea is also picked by another student. However, you increase your chance to become a student for Haiku, if you develop a proposal for more than one idea, just in case there is another student with a proposal for the same idea which happens to be more convincing than your proposal. But even then, Haiku can chose more than one proposal for the same idea. So again, it boils down to picking the idea(s) that you find most interesting, ignoring other students.
