It's up to you, if you think the code doesn't need extra review, you can
commit it. But if it changes a lot of things, maybe it is wise to wait
for the alpha 4 release, because it would make cherry picking commits
from trunk to the branch harder.
I guess this depends on the planning for alpha4 release...
