Hi,
I am Kanakalatha and am currently studying at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological
University Hyderabad,
India. I am interested in contributing to Renga as a part of GSOC 2021.
I already built haiku and installed Renga from HaikuDepot to see how the
application works and
understand what work can be done. What should be my next steps?
I was wondering how to build the application using the code in the GitHub
repository rather than
installing it from HaikuDepot. Is there any way to do this? It would be
really helpful if someone
could point me in the right direction.

Hi!

Yes, to test the current version of Renga you need to build it from source.
Many things have changed
since the release in HaikuDepot.

The Renga repository includes instructions for compiling it.

First you need to get a copy of it:

git clone git@xxxxxxxxxx:HaikuArchives/Renga.git

Then follow the instructions here:

https://github.com/HaikuArchives/Renga/blob/master/COMPILING.md
