For history background, it came from comparaison against other OSes
network panel, for this specific case from the MacOS X network panel
which feature one.
I initially though a way to stop user doing unwanted changes to common
settings, as Tracker does for system files, was needed. In particular
if change is applied live.
I still think it, but a checkbox is clearly neither the best way
neither coherent with what is already used in Haiku for such feature.
Bye bye strange checkbox.
