These look pretty useful - any particular reason you put them in a
branch and not in master?
Yes, while it might actually work, I couldn't test it yet; the
mount_server hung on restart while talking to the launch_daemon.
I haven't had time to look into the issue, so I thought it's better to
put the commits in a branch for now; I might try to replace the
mount_server on boot, as that should at least work around the hanging issue.
