#9452: Booting haiku anyboot from USB locks BIOS --------------------------+---------------------------- Reporter: jstressman | Owner: nobody Type: bug | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: R1 Component: - General | Version: R1/Development Resolution: | Keywords: Blocked By: | Blocking: Has a Patch: 0 | Platform: All --------------------------+---------------------------- Comment (by jstressman): To clarify, this lock happened before and after the BIOS update. I updated the BIOS after the locks to see if a more recent version might have fixed the problem. Unfortunately it didn't, and they haven't released any new BIOS for this board since the end of 2008, so this is it. FAT formatted USB stick lets the machine boot fine, bootable sticks work fine, even an unpartitioned stick works fine. It's something about the Haiku anyboot stick that kills it. Even tried using the RAW image instead to see if maybe anyboot was the problem. Exact same lock up. :( -- Ticket URL: <http://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/9452#comment:1> Haiku <http://dev.haiku-os.org> Haiku - the operating system.
