#8915: I can no-longer use the keyboard to change the brightness. ----------------------------+---------------------------- Reporter: bbjimmy | Owner: tqh Type: bug | Status: closed Priority: normal | Milestone: R1 Component: Drivers/ACPI | Version: R1/Development Resolution: duplicate | Keywords: Blocked By: | Blocking: Has a Patch: 0 | Platform: All ----------------------------+---------------------------- Changes (by tqh): * status: reopened => closed * resolution: => duplicate Comment: This is a duplicate of #8258. The only reason it worked before was that BIOS was handling your brightness, so it is not really a regression, but an unimplemented feature. BIOS handling gets disabled when ACPI starts. A driver for handling brightness has never been fully implemented. It's not very complicated, while it is on my TODO I can't do that until I have Haiku working on my laptop. The debug output I'm not sure about, I think Jerome added some debugging info. -- Ticket URL: <http://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/8915#comment:7> Haiku <http://dev.haiku-os.org> Haiku - the operating system.
