#7553: [ReadOnlyBootPrompt] Custom keymap defaults to US-International ---------------------------------------------+------------------------- Reporter: deejam | Owner: stippi Type: bug | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: R1 Component: Applications/ReadOnlyBootPrompt | Version: R1/alpha3 Keywords: | Blocked By: Blocking: | Has a Patch: 0 Platform: All | ---------------------------------------------+------------------------- When installing (or upgrading) r1a3 from a CD and choosing another language than English, the default keymap is set to Custom. When installed or upgraded, the Haiku keymap will be US-International. What is Custom supposed to do? The user will probably think that Custom means the keymap for the language, or when upgrading, the same as before the upgrade. If I remember, the keymap was defaulted to English before the latest redesign of ReadOnlyBootPrompt. That was better because then the users sees that it will be English, and could choose to change to something else. If installed this way, keymap will be US-international'' r1a3-rc-r41650 -- Ticket URL: <http://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/7553> Haiku <http://dev.haiku-os.org> Haiku - the operating system.
