Why not? For example, now I haven't direct connection, so we compiled
tool which called 'proxychains'. Now I launch svn, Web+ or any other app
just typing in terminal: proxychains appname. And getting Internet for any
app.
But this ticket about system-wide proxy. You can google about this kind of
proxy. There are system-wide proxy for Linux and Windows. But if Haiku
will have it out of the box it would be great!
