 No luck.  Connected my external speakers to the rear of my ASUS monitor
 that is getting signal from the Mac Mini via HDMI cable.  No sound still.
 So, not sure if the one HDA that appears in the Media Preference is the
 built-in Mac Mini sound card that probably also works with the headphones
 speaker port on the Mac Mini or something else.

 Would think whatever the built-in sound for the headphones port would be
 the one needed for Haiku sound??  tj
