r38882 boots and shows the desktop, deskbar, icons, but within a few
seconds after that goes into KDL. I've worked a long time with this rev.
and the only other thing I noticed is that it happened on the first boot
after I did a drag/drop of multiple icons to another position on the
Desktop (this may be totally unrelated).
