That worked. On a fresh install of Haiku, I moved /system/add-ons/ kernel/drivers/bin/auich to the /Desktop. I installed, installoptionalpackage opensound, OpenSound. Cd's play fine. 
I have sound. Great job.
How do I mark this ticket as being resolved? Or does the one who solve the problem mark it as solved?
