I started noticing this behavior "hand't payed much attention was happy
system ran at all" about 3-4 days ago.
hiaku will not show any of my cd/dvd drives unless there is a disk in
them. It does however show my usb ports on my media readers.
also I having intermitent trouble with mounting drives regardless of
file system.
Not really sure how to log this.
A reboot seems to cure the mounting issue most of the time. However the
drive assignment seems a bit odd. frequently I can put a disc in the drive
and it will not be recognized.
I searched and didn't see any tickets concerning these issues.
I have also noticed some issues with booting/installing from sata2 and
PATA drives. I am not entirely sure how to debug these types of usability
issues.
