The crashing part of this ticket was indeed a duplicate of #4175 and has
been fixed. The "drops frames and eventually freezes" part has also been
fixed, neither the video producer thread nor the audio producer thread try
to decode frames forever, but stop after they have taken too long.
MediaPlayer may still drop frames, however if the CPU is generally capable
of decoding a stream fast enough, MediaPlayer should recover from dropped
frames.
